Obituary of Jeff D Ragan

Jeff Durward Ragan, a lifelong resident of Bradenton, passed away April 3, 2021. He and his wife, Juanita, were high school sweethearts and were married almost 70 years. She died January 24, 2021, with Jeff holding her hand and life had lost its meaning for him with her passing. Jeff loved working for the State of Florida where he was employed for 30 years. He had a unique voice and was a calming influence whenever he spoke. He took care of his mother, Inez Ragan, until she died. He and his two older brothers worked every weekend but always accompanied their mother to church on Sunday. Jeff and Juanita eventually moved into her family home with her sisters, which was affectionately known as the “Pink Floyd” house. He enjoyed being their escort and driver. Jeff and Juanita were longtime members of Christ Episcopal Church. They were also animal lovers who were strong supporters of the Humane Society of Manatee County. There will be no services.
