Obituary of Iris M Parrish

Iris Marie Parrish, born in Tampa, Florida July 22, 1939 to Alexander Chancey and Eunice Leona Keen. She retired from Manatee County as a School Bus Driver. In the past she was the Cowbelle President which consisted of the wives of the Cattlemen's Association's. She lived in Ellenton for several years thenthe family relocated to Duette, FL. She established the first 4-H group in the early 1970's which was named the Mighty 4-Hers of Duette. She is survived by her children Verna (Edgar) Esparza, Belinda Deen, Minnie Parrish and Pate Parrish. 14 grandchildren Katrina, Scotty, Summer, Tara, Phillis, Andrew Parrish, Ronnie, Joe Jr., Carrie, Latricia, Andrew Fisher, Randy, Amanda and Kyle, numerous great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Also survived by her Sisters Eunice Parks, Lettie Simpson, Barbara Chancey, Ann Lane-Purvis, Claudette Dupree, Ivy Wenger, Lucy Browder, Brothers, Callon (Buddy) Keen and Bobby Chancey. Visitation will be Friday September 24, 2021 from 6:00pm to 8:00 at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Ave W, Bradenton, FL 34205, 941-748-1011. Grave side services will be at Fortner Cemetery Saturday September 25, 2021 at 11:00am off Rutland road in Parrish, FL. We are trying to get chairs for the grave side service so if you think you will need to sit please bring a chair.
