Obituary of Rebecca K. Shulla

Our cherished wife and mother, Rebecca “Becky” Kelso Shulla, passed away on May 25th, 2022 at the age of 55. She was born on July 25th, 1966 in Sellersville, Pennsylvania to William and Charlotte Kelso. Becky graduated from Riverview High School in 1984 and married Steven Shulla in 1987. She is survived by her beloved husband Steven and her three children, Nicholas, Hannah and Harrison. She is also survived by parents William and Charlotte, siblings Thomas, Leanne, and Robert, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. Becky – or Mrs. Shulla – as she was known to her beloved students, cared deeply for every child that ever crossed her threshold, whether it was her classroom or her home. In addition to being a wonderful teacher, Becky was a friend to all and led her life in kindness. She was a passionate advocate for the arts and for creating a more empathetic world for those around her despite her own adversities. She was a selfless and courageous woman who always put others before herself. Becky carried herself with an amiable grace that was felt by all who were close to her. Her devotion to her family and friends was evidenced each day through innumerable gestures. Those who knew her are better for it. A reception will be held at the IMG Academy Country Club at 4350 El Conquistador Pkwy, Bradenton, FL 34210 from 6-8 pm on Friday, June 3rd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the SADS (Sudden Arrhythmia Death Syndrome) (www.sads.org) or the Heifer Foundation (www.heifer.org).
