Obituary of Jane Woods Touchton

    Jane Woods Touchton, 86, of Bradenton, FL passed away on May 29, 2023. She was born on October 12,1936, to John B. and Nancy G. (Bingham) Woods. Jane was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a nurse at Blake Hospital who cared deeply for her patients for many years.

Jane’s infectious laugh and kind-hearted soul will be missed by all who knew her. She loved a good laugh and was always willing to help a friend in need. Jane was an active member at the First United Methodist Church in Palmetto, the church’s thrift store and was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Jane is survived by her sons, Douglas Worsley (Mary Jane) and John Worsley (Mavis), her grandchildren Jacob, Amelia, Joey, Sarah, Ian, and Chase, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Ronald Touchton, brother Walter Woods (Kathy), and sister Nancy Mitchell (Melvin).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that any gifts be sent to the local animal shelters. A special thank you to all the people who helped her throughout the later years, especially our cousins, the Jensvold Family, and her friend Vicki Steward. You made her days a beautiful place. Her famous statement “I am 5’9, 18, and 120 lbs. “– still smiling to the end. There will be no services at this time.
