Obituary of Cliff Gratsch

Cliff Gratsch, Born in Flint, Michigan 9-13-20. Graduate of Grand Blanc High School and attended Michigan State University studying Horticulture. Served in WWII as Naval Aviator and was a flight instructor at Pensacola, FL. Lived in Walloon Lake, Mich. where he was a Landscape Contractor for over 25 yrs. He was active in American Legion, Asst. Scout Master for 20 yrs. of Boy Scouts of America, Divisional Chairman for USS Ski Assoc. for 10 yrs. Part owner in Walloon Hills Ski Area. Built and managed the "Cliff Dweller" Ski Lodge at the foot of Boyne Mt., Mich. Moved to Naples, Fl. in 1977. Was a charter member of Royal Palm C.C. and served on the Board. Elder in Lely Presbyterian Church in Naples, Fl. Moved to Lake Suzy, Fl in 1992. Member of Presbyterian Church, Port Charlotte, FL. Member of Kingway C.C. for 15 yrs. Moved to Bradenton in 2006. Survivors, wife Louise (married 69 1/2 yrs.), brother Ted of Grand Blanc, daughter Barbara of Mountain City, TN, daughter Beth and husband Al Waller of Romulus, NY, son Tom of Walloon Lake, Michigan and grandson Tony of Boulder, Colorado. Contributions may be sent to the the First Presbyterian Church, 506 N. Church St., Mountain City, TN 37683. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 10:30 am at Westminster Towers Chapel in Bradenton, FL.
