Obituary of Daniel S. Tew

Daniel Shellie Tew, Sr., passed away peacefully at Tidewell Hospice, Bradenton, Florida at age 90 on December 9, 2013. Born in Geneva County, Ala. on October 27, 1923 to Ada Angeline Seay and John William Tew. Preceded in death by parents, and 1 brother, Raymond: 2 sisters: Johnnie Mae Bond and Cathleen Singletary: 1 son, Johnny Lee Tew. He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta (Maples) Tew: 2 sons: Daniel Larry Tew and Dan S. Tew, Jr., Five grandchildren: Sonia Tew-Velton, Michael Tew, Johnny Lee Tew, Jr., Jan Tew and Teresa Sanders. Three gr-grandchildren: William Harrelson, Kyle Sanders and Kody Sanders. Eleven nieces and nephews. Griffith-Cline (Bradenton) and Sorrell’s Funeral Home in Slocumb are officiating last details. Private burial will take place in the Tew Family Cemetery, Fadette, Alabama.
