Obituary of Juanita M Anderson

Juanita Anderson, daughter of Thomas and Cecile Marie Snipes, age 93 passed away January 19, 2014 at Tidewell Hospice. She was a member of the Westside Christian Church. Born in Illinois, on October 21, 1920, Juanita moved as a child to Tipton County where she was raised. After graduation, she moved to Elwood Indiana where she met the love of her life, Joe Anderson. They were married January 31, 1944, just days before he shipped out with his Army unit to fight in the European theatre during WWII. They would have celebrated their 70th anniversary this month. During the war, she worked at Continental Can Company in order to create a nest egg for herself and Joe when he returned from overseas. Her efforts allowed them to build a home in Elwood and start their family. Joe and Juanita moved to Bradenton 1956 where they raised three children. Juanita kept the books for their business AC Muffler and Brake, for many years before retiring with Joe in 1985. Juanita was an excellent cook and was noted for her incredible pies; No one ever left her house hungry. One of eleven children, she is preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers and sisters, as well as an infant daughter, Janet Elaine. Juanita is survived by her beloved husband, Joe Anderson, their three children, Larry Anderson, Kathy (Pat) Boling, and Marie Anderson (Heidi Blair) as well as her sisters Phyllis McFarland, Nancy Riley and sisters in law Wilma Snipes, Barbara Snipes, Eva Snipes and June Snipes. Her grandchildren include Joel Boling of Pinckney, MI; Kara Boling of Sarasota, Kelsey Anderson of Sarasota, Ryan Anderson of Seattle, WA and Chad Anderson of Sarasota. She is also survived by great grandchildren Leah Boling and Layne Boling of Michigan and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation on Wednesday evening, January 22, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., at Griffith Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Avenue West, with funeral services Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Griffith Cline. Interment at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, Fl. at 1:30 P.M. following the funeral. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P. O.
