Obituary of Peter Eugene Zimmerman

Peter Eugene Zimmerman, 72, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Born July 4, 1941, in Augsburg, Germany to Karl Eugene and Ingeborg Peez Zimmerman. Peter was the former owner of Manatee Chevron. After his retirement, he worked at Sun Hydraulics for 10 years. He enjoyed bowling, traveling, and dancing. Peter was an avid golfer. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog Misty. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jean Zimmerman; son, Eric Eugene Zimmerman and his wife JoAnne Lyn; daughter, Christy L. Sapey and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Derrick Eugene Zimmerman, Ryan Edwin Zimmerman, and Krystal Lyn Zimmerman; great-grandsons, Hunter Keith Zimmerman and Brantley Eric Resendiz. A memorial service will be held at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to TideWell Hospice, INC.
