Obituary of Corrine Peggy McClure

In loving memory of Corrine Peggy Anderson McClure who passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at age 93 years young, in Bradenton, Florida. Born on February 4, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois, she was an avid swimmer, golfer, and tennis player. She was a member of the Bradenton Country Club in FL and the Highlands Country Club in NC. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church in Bradenton, Florida where she and her late husband, Dan P. McClure, and Dan's parents, John Neil McClure and Versenoia Thomas McClure had worshiped since the 1950s. Her parents were Lloyd Anderson and Bertha Anderson. She married Dan P. McClure on August 20, 1948. Dan was president of McClure Farms and West Coast Tomato in Palmetto, Florida. After Dan's passing on September 23, 2006, Corrine served as acting President of the family farming businesses. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Bertha Anderson. She is lovingly remembered as a gracious Christian lady. She is survived by her 4 devoted children, daughter Sandra McClure Lamme, son Dr. Scott McClure, son D.C. McClure, and daughter Mary Anne Spencer (husband Bob IV and his father Rev. Bob III). She is also survived by her treasured sister, Lucille Blankenship (and family). She is affectionately remembered as a great traveler and encouraging spirit by her 7 adored grandchildren (Sarah, Brittany, Todd, Amanda, Peyton, Winston, and Sheldon). She also adored her precious greatgrandchildren, Charlotte, Grady, Jack, Frances, Noah, Magnolia, and Connie Jean. We honor and remember her legacy for teaching us to love one another and the Lord Jesus Christ. She lived life to its fullest and served the Lord with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30). Rest in peace, we love you and shall see you again in your heavenly home. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the Bradenton Christian School Foundation. She is praising the Lord for His faithfulness!
