Obituary of Luis Diaz Valle

February 10, 1944, ~ September 26, 2022 Luis Diaz Valle sadly passed away the afternoon of September 26, 2022. He was born in Sagua la Grande, Villa Clara, Cuba on February 10, 1944, to his parents Inocencio Diaz and Juana Valle. At the age of 17 his life changed forever as he decided to fight a government system that was threatening his family's livelihood. That decision cost him 9 years of his life in a prison for defending his beliefs and his rights. A few years later he knew he had to decide in order to protect his children's future. He decided to leave everything behind including his mother and the rest of his family in Cuba to bring his children to a better life in the United States in August 1995. That decision was tough because his life would be changed forever in a new environment and a language he did not understand. For that sacrifice, his children, and generations after will always be grateful. He was preceded in death by his son, Michel Diaz. He is survived by his children, Luis Uriel Diaz, and Sandra Diaz Castro, his ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and 5 siblings (Silvio, Rosa, Jesus, Paula, and Marilyn Diaz Valle). He enjoyed planting, nature, taking care of his family and everyone around him that he could. He will be remembered by everyone he knew as a kind, courageous, caring, strong, and loving man.
