Obituary of Demytro Vorona

     Demytro Vorona, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 10:06 am. He passed away peacefully in his home as he embarked on his eternal journey. Demytro was preceded in death by his devoted wife, Dolores Vorona, who awaited him in heaven.

Demytro led a remarkable life filled with love, compassion, and dedication. He was born on April 12, 1946, in Lubic, Germany and later moved to Brazil, and then eventually to the United States where he proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He met his soul mate, Dolores, and they shared a love that knew no bounds. Together, they created a beautiful family and cherished their time spent together.

Demytro will forever be remembered as a pillar of strength, providing unwavering support to his children and grandchildren. He was a guiding light, imparting wisdom and teaching valuable life lessons. Demytro had a passion for engineering and problem-solving. He had a warm smile and a kind heart, always willing to lend a helping hand.

Demytro was preceded in death by his father, Filip, mother, Palagia, and sister, Lucia Kramer. He is survived by his brothers, Mykola Vorona and Peter Vorona. Demytro leaves behind a lasting legacy in the hearts of his children, Peter Vorona, Connie Jacobs, and Linda Stewart, who will forever carry his memory and strive to live by his example. His grandchildren, Alexander and Conner Vorona, Natalie and Jonathan Stewart, and Tyler Jacobs, were blessed to have him as their caring grandfather, creating countless joyful memories together. Demytro's love and presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A celebration of Demytro's life will be held on July 7,2023 at 9:30a.m. at the Sarasota National Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to come together to honor his memory, share stories, and find solace in each other's company.

During this time of sorrow, let us remember Demytro's spirit of love, kindness, and resilience. May we find solace in knowing that he is now reunited with his beloved Dolores, watching over us all from above. Though Demytro's physical presence may be gone, his love and impact will forever remain in our hearts.

Rest in eternal peace, Demytro Vorona. You will be deeply missed, but your memory will live on in our hearts forever.
