Obituary of William W. Thompson II

     Mr. William W. Thompson II, 97, of Bradenton, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, October 20th, 2023. He was born in Richmond, Kentucky December 15th, 1925. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary (Monica) Thompson, a daughter, Sheryl Bailiff of Orlando, FL. and son, William Thompson III of Katy, TX. 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

William was a member of Saints Peter & Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, VFW Post 10141, and the Valkries and Manatee County Remote Control Flying Club. He served in the Navy in WWII in the North Pacific and the Philippines.

A Visitation Service will be held at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, 720 Manatee Ave. W. Bradenton from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Sat, Oct. 28th. A Funeral Mass will follow at Saints Peter & Paul the Apostles Catholic Church, 2850 75th St. W. Bradenton at 1:00 p.m.

Burial Services will be held on Monday Oct. 30th at Sarasota National Cemetery,  9810 State Rd. 72 Sarasota at 1:30 p.m.
