Obituary of Cynthia Ann Richmond

RICHMOND Cynthia Ann (nee Tapke) passed away at the age of 70 on December 14th 2023 in Bradenton FL. Born and raised in Cincinnati OH, Cindy was the beloved wife of Joseph R Richmond, devoted mother of Justin Richmond, wife Amber, and Renee Bohman (Richmond), husband Kevin. Caring grandmother of Brody Bohman, Jacob Bohman and Logan Richmond. Loving sister to the late Susan Colucci (Tapke) husband Fred, Patricia Tapke, and Timothy Tapke, wife Barbara. Daughter of the late Raymond H. Tapke and Mary J. Tapke (Moorman). Cindy was a technical writer by profession, but her true passion was volunteering in the community. She was active in various therapeutic horseback riding programs for children with disabilities. She volunteered for many years at the Newport Aquarium in Newport, KY working with South African penguins, otters and lorikeets. After retirement, she and Joseph moved to Anna Maria Island FL, where she volunteered for the island's turtle watch program and Anna Maria Island Garden Club. Cindy’s smile and connection to nature made her a beautiful soul that will always be in our hearts. A celebration of life will be held in her honor in the Spring.
