Obituary of Jeanne S Wiley

Wiley, Jeanne Sonner, 99, born July 6^th 1924 was escorted by angels to the arms of our Lord early Friday morning, January 26, 2024. She went peacefully in her sleep at her home in Bradenton, Fl.

Jeanne was born in Hillsboro, Ohio but moved to Florida as a teen with her parents. She graduated from Manatee County High school in 1942.  She married Ralph Wiley January 1, 1944. They were married 56 years.  She lived her whole adult life in Manatee County.

She was preceded in death by her  spouse, Ralph, her parents, Harold and Lucille Sonner, her foster sister, Alice King and her grandson, James (Champ) Pierce III. Jeanne is survived by her daughter Sherry (James) Pierce,  and son, Ralph S. (Yuchuan) Wiley , granddaughter Whitney (Joe) Bedell ; Great grand children Zoe Bedell, James (Liz) Pierce IV (CJ), Jacob Pierce, Kagan (Tatum)Pierce  and Kalen Pierce. She also has three great, great grandchildren, Skiley, Savannah Rose and James Pierce V.

Jeanne loved the Lord and was first a member of Manatee Baptist Church in 1951. She served the rest of her years in other Baptist churches and was currently a faithful Christian member of Faith Baptist Church in Sefner, Florida . She was foremost a homemaker. Her home was always welcoming to many over the years. She was a caretaker for her father for 20 years, loving,special supportive mother and devoted friend to many friends and family members. 

Jeanne's funeral service will be Wednesday, January 31^st 2024 at Griffith-Cline Funeral Home. Visitation 9AM to 10 AM; service beginning at 10AM and burial to follow at Manasota Memorial.
