Obituary of Jerome Gene Engerski

Jerome Gene Engerski

Born December 14th, 1939 to Jean and Joseph Engerski, had 2 brothers Joe (Lois) and Robert (Marilynne), Jerome was married to Judith in 1961 and had 6 children Katherine Chitwood (Dan), Khristine Denyes (Larry), Kerri Howard (Chuck), Kimberly Burban, Jerome Engerski II (Jana) and Jeffrey Engerski (Lynn), 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He loved his manufacturing career. In 1966 he began his career as a mechanical engineer at Allen Bradley, followed by Cutler Hammer as a Manufacturing Manager and Plant Manager. He eventually opened his own manufacturing plant, Engerski Enterprises, focusing on manufacturing wire harnesses for boating, military and other commercial applications.

He was a faithful follower of Christ his entire life, a belief he shared with his family who he dearly loved and evangelized through his work with the Knights of Columbus (KofC). He started Purdue University's first KofC chapter while completing his Mechanical Engineering Degree and started the chapter at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Bradenton where he served as the Grand Knight and later the Faithful Navigator.

Jerome was a blessing to his family and the many lives he touched. He is deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all.
